šāļø Spring Is Here⦠Time to Wake Up Your Corvette! āļøš
Back to the Beach Corvette Weekend
After a long winter tucked away in the garage, itās finally that time of year again⦠spring has arrived, the roads are calling, and your Corvette is ready to come back to life. Thereās nothing quite like that first drive of the seasonāthe rumble of the engine, the feel of the open road, and the excitement of whatās ahead.
As we gear up for another incredible Back to the Beach Corvette Weekend in Old Orchard Beach, Maine (June 12thā14th, 2026), now is the perfect time to get your Corvette out of storage and road-ready.
But before you just turn the key and go⦠letās make sure your car is as ready as you are.
āø»
š§ 1. Give It a Full Visual Inspection
Start with a good walk-around. Look for

anything that may have changed during storage:
⢠Check for leaks under the car
⢠Inspect tires for flat spots or cracks
⢠Look for any signs of critters (yes⦠it happens!)
⢠Check belts and hoses for wear
A few minutes here can save you a headache later.
āø»

š 2. Battery Check & Reconnect
If you disconnected your battery or used a tender:
⢠Reconnect terminals securely
⢠Check for corrosion
⢠Make sure the battery is fully charged
A weak battery can lead to unnecessary stress on your electrical system.
āø»

š¢ļø 3. Check All Fluids
Before firing it up, make sure everything is topped off:
⢠Engine oil
⢠Coolant
⢠Brake fluid
⢠Transmission fluid
⢠Power steering fluid
Even if everything looks good, this is a great time for an oil change if itās been sitting all winter.
āø»

š 4. Tire Pressure & Condition
Your tires carried the weight of the car all winterānow they need attention:
⢠Inflate to recommended PSI
⢠Inspect for cracking or dry rot
⢠Watch for flat spots on the first drive
Proper tire pressure makes a huge difference in ride quality and safety.
āø»

š„ 5. First Start ā Take It Slow
When you fire it up for the first time:
⢠Let the engine idle for a few minutes
⢠Listen for unusual sounds
⢠Watch for warning lights
Donāt rev it right awayāgive everything time to warm up and circulate properly.
āø»
š 6. Test Brakes & Lights
Before hitting the open road:
⢠Test brakes at low speed
⢠Check headlights, brake lights, and signals
⢠Make sure everything is responsive and working properly
Safety firstāalways.
āø»
š§¼ 7. Wash, Wax, and Shine
Your Corvette deserves to look as good as it drives:
⢠Remove dust from storage
⢠Give it a full wash
⢠Add a fresh coat of wax
⢠Clean wheels and tires
Thereās nothing better than that first sunny drive in a freshly detailed Corvette.
āø»
š£ļø 8. Take a Short Test Drive
Start with a quick local ride:
⢠Pay attention to how it handles
⢠Listen for vibrations or noises
⢠Gradually bring it up to speed
This helps you catch anything early before longer trips.
