Back to the Beach Corvette Weekend in Old Orchard Beach is a relaxed, multi‑day gathering of Corvette owners and enthusiasts. The event is held annually the second week in June on the Maine coast. It’s all about cruising, parking together in town, and enjoying the beach community rather than a high‑pressure judged car show.
What happens that weekend:
• Hundreds of Corvettes of all generations come into Old Orchard Beach, lining the main streets and nearby venues for informal show‑and‑shine style displays.
• We have a Saturday morning/early‑afternoon street event on Old Orchard Street so spectators can walk around and see the cars.
• Many participants make it a mini‑vacation: staying in local motels and hanging out at beachfront bars and restaurants. The event is all about socializing with other Corvette owners throughout the weekend.
Overall vibe and purpose:
• The focus is community and meeting other Corvette people, talking cars, and making new friends—rather than trophies or competition. However, there is always a few special awards presented.
• The setting is right by the ocean, so you get the combination of coastal resort atmosphere, nightlife, and a big Corvette presence all in one place.
